• He grew up technically with both parents, however his father was not around much due to his obsessive fixation on entrepreneurship.
• His mother was very strict, and up until he was about ten he was incredibly sheltered.
• At that point, he became rebellious and ended up spending a lot of time on the streets with pickpockets and street rats.
• He learned how to effectively lie and manipulate others to get what he wanted and he did this for about four years, until he was 14.
• At that point he managed to get a job and he eventually inherited his father’s passion for business.
• He worked odd jobs until he had enough money to start his own business when he was about 26.
• The business exploded successfully at first and lasted for about ten years, making him rich and getting his name out to the public.
• Around this time, he became incredibly greedy and secretly founded Baroque Works, using it as a sort of hit group and hiring talented assassins to take out his business opponents and he has various BW bases and operatives stationed all over the city.
• He adopted the alias “Mr. 0” and quickly became the most wanted mobster in the country.
• After his business failed, he used his money to found a casino — Rainbase — at the center of the city.
• He became a philanthropist, completely manipulating the entire city and getting them to practically worship him as some kind of public hero.
• Currently, he lives in a lavish mansion in the upscale part of the city.

Misc.

• Crocodile makes a point to be very charming and likable, especially in public.
• He hosts social events at his casino and is loved by nearly everyone for his generosity and his charm.

• When not in the public eye, he is very stoic and he enjoys relaxing and occasionally chuckling at how well he has manipulated everyone.
• Adversely, when he is functioning as Mr. 0, he is very blunt and cruel, going from being charitable to virtually unforgiving.
• He lost his hand to frostbite as a child from being out on the streets for too long in the winter and being unable to find shelter; he worked with a stump until he could afford a hook made out of a study gold alloy.
• He got the scar on his face during a scuffle with another thief over a particularly expensive-looking watch.
• He enjoys wine and is often seen with a glass in hand.
• He has scars all over his body not only from the time he spent on the streets and from his own personal training, but also from the time he spent training his animals.
• He enjoys warm, dry weather but does not like the rain or being wet in any way.
• He is also very secretive, preferring to spend most of his time alone.
